In addition to proven craftsmanship, the construction and technical installation of the ALTENA 52′ SD meets the requirements regarding safety and the environment, as stated in the European Recreational Craft Directive.
The yacht is the type Altena 52′ SD (Semi Displacement) and is designed by Theo Werner. It is a ship for modern yacht building.
The hull is designed as a double chine hull.
It is not unusual for a client to return to us when he wishes a new design for his next motor yacht. When that happens, they usually are interested in a larger yacht, providing them with more space and more comfort.
This was not the case for this particular client; he desired a much smaller yacht. The reason: the client often navigates European inland waterways, and with a yacht smaller than 15 metres, he won’t be subjected to a Rhine Patent and the yearly health checks.
The length here is measured over the actual length of the hull. Because this yacht has been designed with an integrated swimming platform, we have been able to extend the length to 1 meter extra, making the yacht a total length of 16 m.

Reliable technology

The Altena 52’ SD is equipped with, among other things:
– elektric motorstop
– hour- and tachometer
– battery/condition meter
– oil pressure and temperature gauge
– starter lock and instrument switch
– acoustic alarm for temperature and too low oil pressure
– all tanks are equipped with volume gauges
The underwater hull is Semi Displacement, hence the name Altena 52′ SD.
The yacht is built entirely in aluminum, which means that the weight is limited and a speed of 21 knots is easily achieved.
The ship is extremely suitable for all rivers and coastal waters of Europe.
Driving this yacht is simplified by Volvo’s Easy Dock system, which makes mooring simple.
The engine room can be reached through a hatch in the aft deck.

Spacious interior

The Altena 52′ SD is an elegantly built yacht and is CE-B certified. The aft deck has a fixed table and bench.
Through a sliding door you enter the salon, kitchen and wheelhouse.
The latter is fitted with an elegant helmsman’s seat. A staircase leads to the bottom of the accommodation, which is equipped with 2 guest cabins and 2 guest bathrooms. The owner’s cabin has its own bathroom and separate toilet.
The stern has a spacious bathing platform, which can accommodate 4 bicycles.
If desired, the layout can be made entirely according to the customer’s wishes.
