The Vryburg PB 61’ by Altena is a stunning mini-mega yacht, designed by Pieter Beeldsnijder. It combines classic and modern elements: a round-bilge hull with a modern transom, fan-shaped stern and gentle sheer. Wide gangways are flush with the foredeck and aft deck and are surrounded by robust stainless steel handrails for added safety. The yacht is designed for long-distance voyages, as evidenced by its very comprehensive fit-out and extensive safety features.
Accessible by stairs from the wheelhouse, the Fly offers space for a steering position, a spacious lounge sofa, a boat crane and dinghy. A motorbike on the flybridge is also conceivable. The swimming platform is accessible via stairs at the transom. This flybridge is beautifully incorporated into the overall design, offering stunning all-round visibility, lots of extra outdoor space and giving this yacht an extra luxurious look.
The original Vryburg was built by the VOC in Middelburg in 1695 and remained in service for 27 years. In 2015, the first modern Vryburg PB 61’ was built, with tough, robust design, light and luxurious interior and advanced hull design for lower fuel consumption and Atlantic voyages. Our focus is on comfort, safety and convenience. It is a seaworthy design and can be sailed with only 2 people. The Vryburg is powered by 2 six-cylinder John Deere engines and is equipped with an Onan generator, Matt'n stabilisers, hydraulic Side Power bow and stern thruster, water maker, YachtControl system, Simrad navigation and Victron battery systems.
The yacht has a spacious saloon with a sofa and fixed table, a galley and a wheelhouse, all on one level. Below deck are two guest cabins with a bathroom and a large owner’s cabin with its own bathroom, washing machine and tumble dryer. Classic wood combined with white features creates a warm, modern interior. The engine room can be accessed via the owner’s cabin and via a hatch in the aft deck.
